ANNUAL FUNCTION 2008

On 29th April 2008 Kendriya Vidyalaya Diu conducted its Annual Function. The Deputy Collector, DIU graced the occasion as Chief Guest and gave away the prizes. Eminent dignitaries who made the occasion memorable were Sh B K Jethwa, Education Officer, DIU, Sh. Ramnikbhai Bambania, Councillor, Executive Engineer PWD, Shri Bringardia, Manager SBS were amongst them. It was a scintillating show of dance and drama and was appreciated by one and all.

Two  P T A meetings were conducted :

On 2nd May 2008 a meeting of Class X students, parents and teachers was arranged. The Meeting was a grand success with a concrete plan of action put forth by the Principal and a roaring response by the parents.

On 5th July 2008 a meeting of Class I students' wards was conducted. The parents expressed their concerns. Various querries were handled. The Class I Class teacher Sh Himanshu Solanki outlined the activities and plan for Class I . Parents were very enthusiastic about the plan of action.  

ELECTION OF  SCHOOL CAPTAIN

   The election of the School Captains and Office Bearers followed the democratic process. Nominations were accepted and the candidates were asked to speak in the assembly. Voting was done on the following day with Classes VIII to X casting their vote. Tremendous excitement was observed throughout the day till the declaration of results.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION - TREE PLANTATION CEREMONY 15th August 2008

Flag Hoisting was done at 8.00 am sharp by Shree Neeraj Semwal, Collector Diu and Chairman Vidyalaya Management Committee. He planted an Ashoka Sapling, thus inaugurating the SAVE OUR EARTH movement. Forty nine saplings were planted in the Vidyalaya Premises. All the parents, teachers, guests and Vidyalaya Management Committee Members participated and planted a sapling each. They vowed to look after their trees. The occasion took on a festive note.

TEACHER'S DAY CELEBRATION - HOMAGE TO DR SARVEPALLI RADHAKRISHNAN 5th September 2008

Teacher's Day was celebrated on 5th September in a befitting manner. The message of the Assistant Commissioner, Ahmedabad Region, Sh. Murali was read and displayed on the notice board. The students paid homage to Dr S. Radhakrishnan.
